Meet the owners: the de Vente family

A lust for freedom, nature and activity brought Emile and Rita, the Dutch owners of Harz Hotel Iris, from Meppel to Sieber in July 2020. Their life long dream, becoming reality: “We enjoy the adventure nature offers immensely and are excited to share that with our guests.”

Sieber

The undiscovered pearl of the Harz

Sieber is relatively quiet and has retained its authenticity over the years. Although we know the Harz very well, this was a real discovery for us. There is no mass tourism, nature is breathtaking and as soon as you hop on your bike, mountain bike or even motorbike, you are in the middle of trail paradise. The hiking trails take you to the most serene, breathtaking views that never seem to end. That’s why we call it the valley full of discoveries.

In the immediate vicinity of Siebertal there are several; seasonal activities to enjoy (internal link). During summer you can go on adventure in the Freizeitpark, cool down in the swimming pool or hit a ball on the mini golf course. When winter comes you can take out your snowshoes a go for a long walk or you can even go skiing or cross-country skiing. There are more than two hundred hiking trails starting points just a stone’s throw away from the hotel, which take you along the most beautiful spots. Our hotel is therefore a popular holiday resort for those feeling most at home surrounded by nature and are seeking tranquility and active outdoor sports.
